Volunteer with us!

Volunteering is very important in Saint John of God Community Services in two ways.

Sometimes people who attend one of the services want or need additional help to do something in the community, for example go dancing, join a group, watch a football match or go to the theatre.

Volunteers are people who do not work for pay in the service but want to volunteer to work to provide additional support and help so that people can attend the class, join the group or go to the cinema. If you are interested in having a volunteer, please contact your key worker.

We are volunteering

The second way volunteering works in Saint John of God Community Services, is when people who attend the service volunteer to do something for someone else.

Some examples of this are:

  • People can work with staff to support other people who use the service to join in in activities in the community

  • Being a friend to someone else who uses the services and doing things together.

If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact your key worker.
Both of these ways mean that people can have fun, make new friends and gain new skills and experiences.
