What is Self Advocacy?

Self-advocacy is understanding your rights; speaking up for yourself and others if they cannot speak for themselves; taking action; or taking control of your life.

This can be done alone or as part of a group.

Self-Advocacy is about speaking up for yourself, speaking up for others and finding solutions to issues that are important.

There are Self- Advocacy groups in each region in Ireland if you would like to be involved contact your local group
